Men's Fellowship

Men are are invited to the 7:00 am Thursday breakfast
Bible Study at the Lakeside Chalet restaurant on Everett Road in Camas. A group
of 12-20 men meet each Thursday for great fellowship, study, prayer and even a
little good natured kidding. Come join the fun! We are planning some activities
for our men's ministry that will involve those who cannot meet early on
Thursdays.

The Zion Quilters

We at Zion are truly blessed to have such an amazing group
of people who are talented and dedicated to making beautiful quilts for people
in need. The quilts are donated to organizations such as Lutheran World Relief,
Open House Ministries, and Share House. Some quilts are given to comfort
families who have lost everything due to a fire or disaster. Lap robes are also
made for people who may spend a lot of time sitting. All are invited, women and
men. We meet each Monday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. If you can tie a knot or sew,
you could be a part of this exciting ministry.
Quilters Bless Many
Distribution of the quilter's handiwork for 2006:
5 to adult foster homes
34 to homeless veterans
4 to a displaced family from Louisiana
15 red-white-blue to veterans in hospice
17 baby-size to Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Rocky Boy Indian Mission
2 for the Mexican families whose houses will be finished by our Mission team
2 for the Mexico Mission auction
There were also 69 quilts, 56 health kits and 55 school kits
sent to Lutheran World Relief
The quilters would also like to thank
David Edstrom, Emil Fredrickson and Bud Stencel
who helped load the Relief shipment not only at Zion
but also at the Portland trailer site where they helped
with the general loading that day.
Thank You!

Thursday Morning Bible Study

A lively Bible study, led by the Pastor, is held
in the Social Hall on Thursday mornings at 10:00 am. Lots of discussion is
always the order of the day and topics are as varied as the book of Revelations,
World Religions, Old Testament prophets, Psalms, prayer and parables. The
sessions are geared to all levels of Bible background, so feel free to just come
and listen, ask questions, or share in the interactive commentary. Besides there
is always plenty of Lutheran libations - coffee and goodies!
