Joplin Mo
A group of amazing high school youth and adults from Zion are heading to Joplin, Missouri July 12-17. Joplin 2015 is an incredible opportunity for young people to experience and live out the love of God as they serve through construction projects! We pray this journey provides our high school youth with a safe, life-transforming, Christ-filled experience in which they directly help people in need. God will be growing us and utilizing us to meet others’ needs! Total cost for the trip is roughly $1,000 per person. While in Joplin we will be serving through Next Step Ministries (NSM). NSM has been rebuilding in Joplin since the deadly tornado of 2011 that was nearly a mile wide in some places. We will be living simply and working hard daily. Each day will be filled with opportunities to serve, to grow in faithand share life with one another! Youth from Zion prepare all year long for summer service trips. Local service at the Share House, Clark County Food Bank Repack events, church facility clean up days, VBS/Day Camp and team meetings are all a part of mission trip preparations.
Mission trips would not be possible without the congregation and community's generous support! People all over the United States support participants through Partnership Shares. These donations are an incredible blessing!
